Sell your Rolex GMT-Master II.
Bezel colour drives this family more than any other Rolex, and the market on each colour moves independently. A number that was right six months ago may not be right today, which is why I quote from current trading rather than memory.

What actually moves the number.
The bezel colour is a market of its own
Blue and red, blue and black, brown and gold, and plain black all trade on their own supply and their own demand. They are not interchangeable and they should not be quoted as one thing.
Jubilee or Oyster
The same reference on a different bracelet sells to a different buyer, and the gap between them is not trivial. If you have both, say so.
Crown position on newer references
Rolex has moved the crown side on part of this family, which is a genuine difference rather than a curiosity. It is worth mentioning when you describe the watch.

Is a faded aluminium bezel a problem?
The opposite, often. Evenly faded inserts on the older references have a strong following, and replacing one with a fresh insert can cost you money rather than make it. Leave it alone and let me look at it.
Is the first number the number I actually get?
It is an estimate and I say so every time. I give you a range from the reference, the condition you describe, and what the market is doing that week. Once the watch is in my hands and authenticated, I confirm the final number. If it moves, I tell you exactly what moved it.
What if I do not like the final offer?
I ship it back to you, insured, at my cost. No obligation and no fee. That is the whole reason I would rather give you an honest range up front than a flattering one.
How do I get paid?
Wire transfer, sent the same day we agree on the final number. I confirm your banking details with you on a second channel before anything moves.
