What I Buy
Watches that hold their value.
My working floor is around 10,000 dollars, with exceptions for exceptional pieces. If you are not sure whether yours fits, text me and I will tell you straight.
The Names
Where I spend most of my time.
This is not an exhaustive list. It is where I have the deepest market knowledge and can move fastest for you. Pick a brand to see what I look at on that one specifically.
Condition
What actually moves the number.
The reference itself
Two watches from the same brand can sit thousands apart. The reference and the production year do more work than anything else in the estimate.
Originality
Original dial, hands, and bezel matter more than a few scratches. Aftermarket parts and polishing that has softened the case lines both cost real money.
Box and papers
They help on most references, and on a few they matter a great deal. I will tell you exactly what they are worth in your specific case rather than in general.
Not On The List
Ask anyway.
If your watch is not something I buy, I will tell you and point you somewhere better. That answer is free and it takes one text.
